No Harm to Nursery from Recent Fire on November 16, 2009.
Tree of Life Nursery is surrounded by natural open space. We enjoy our beautiful location on the historic Rancho Mission Viejo. In our 23 years here, we have seen many fires, some distant, some close. This one, on November 16, 2009 is consuming dense vegetation which had not burned in over 50 years. Fire fighters responded with ground crews and air support and put it out in less than 24 hours. The nursery was not affected, except for the harsh reminder that if the wind had been blowing, all bet’s would have been off.
During this Thanksgiving season, we thank God for keeping us safe and sound, and of course we do not take for granted the fire fighters who showed up to keep this fire away from the nursery.
