Current Workshop Series Information and Handouts, Reviews and Information from Past Workshops offered at Tree of Life Nursery.
Throughout the year, our workshops characterize numerous topics of general and specific interest in the following categories:
Sage Advice – All aspects of native plant horticulture, feature plants, seasonal issues
Expert Series – Invited speakers on design, installation, wildlife, water use, book signings, many topics
Replace Your Lawn – Kill and remove, design – installation – maintenance, foundation plants, and flowering perennials
Native Cultures – Indian uses of plants, native crafts, ethnobotany, visiting artists
Do It Yourself – hands on how-to information, i.e.; seasonal wreaths, container gardening, ponds (There is a nominal fee for workshops where you make something to take home with you).
Without a doubt the most popular for the last two years and the one we repeat most frequently is our four-part series on how to Replace Your Lawn.
Please join us as often as possible. There is a very casual vibe, we do on time, but the atmosphere during and after the class is very informal with great discussion, comments, and questions which lead to interesting group participation. In many cases we have handouts and take-home materials for each person. We are exploring getting videos onto our website via YouTube or some other new-fangled method, so if you have any suggestions or feel you would like to man the camera, let us know.
See you some Saturday!
